Hello Kevin, Shouldn't be an issue. My wife and I ride the trail on our e-trikes quite often......plenty of other ebike users out there too. ......just play nice and we'll all be happy. BTW, the Pierce County Sheriff's Dept occasionally patrols the trail on bike to help keep the peace.........they love that assignment!!
It should be fine as long as you keep the speed reasonable when you are in town or crossing the bridges. I have seen a lot of electric bikes on the Foothills Trail between South Prairie and Buckley.
