I need to see a family member there on the 4th floor, section A. Does anyone know what section of the hospital is this? Because, I was told I woyld have to wear gloves and gown. Just asking for safety reasons for myself

If you have to put on gloves and gown the patient is in isolation for different reasons

Just go there and they'll explain you what's going on, Sterilized gown and gloves are usually required to go se a patient in isolation, and these are required mainly to prevent the migration on microbes from the skin.
