The park is opening up this week. They were doing work on water fountains for the dogs. The park is divided into two parts; small for under 25 lbs, large for over 25. There some agility obstacles on each side, water during the spring and summer and there are baggies for when your dog relieves themselves. As far as licenses are concerned, you need a nys dog license and a pooch pass to get in. You can get both at the Brookhaven offices.
There are other dog parks around. You bring your dog, let him run free, meet others. Just always watch for signs af aggression or fear from your dog. Most owners are awesome and will help you out if you are new. Be sure your little guy likes other dogs first.
