The nearest parking lot is $8 per hour. Usually there is a good chance to find street parking for about $1.50 peer hour or even free. We entered the city driving from Boston and parked on the right side of Commercial street between Union and Center where there were dozens of free parking spots. This is like a 3 minute walk from there to Portland Lobster Company.
Parking is on the streets(parking meters) and if it's busy you may have to park further out and walk. There are some parking lots but usually get filled quickly.
What Matthew said is correct. If you go after hours, try to find a street parking I think it is free after 6 or 7pm. Enjoy.
There's a parking lot next door that's easy to park in but it's incredibly expensive. Like 20 bucks for a couple hours if i remember correctly. If you're a few miles away, an Uber will be the same price. I'd recommend trying to park on the street.
