The hype is what people fall for in any case, and in this case, this spot is definitely OVERLY hyped. I read through the reviews and thought that this place will have the best lobster all throughout Maine. However, to my surprise, I was wrong. The food is mediocre in comparison to other places that provide lobster rolls. The long lines and long waits have you thinking this is the main deal. With all the awards they have won to only burst your bubble. From waiting on a long line, to waiting to be served, it was definitely a lengthy process. The quantity for the lobster roll is definitely a lot more than other places however I wish the meats were well seasoned. The lobster Mac and cheese was definitely a good selection as it filled in for the void that the lobster roll had in seasoning. The best part of the whole experience was having the option to have free refills of your fountain drinks, sit out and enjoy the view or be cooler inside. Although there’s no AC inside, it’s less packed and humid in comparison to outdoor seating. Overall, it was an okay experience. Would definitely come back for the lobster Mac and cheese on a less busy day- if there is any.

Overall, the PLC has a good outdoor venue with just okay cold lobster roll. The lobster roll had a lot of claw meat and was very expensive for the quality ($27 / person). There’s also no salt on the lobster, and they don’t use salted butter. Mediocre food with a fun venue on the water. Update: Lobsters were less expensive up in Bar Harbor and tasted way fresher.

Popular lobster roll spot by the port. Came here for the first time per the Internet’s recommendation, and it was good, if a bit underwhelming. The lobster rolls are market price ($26 per roll when we went) and the lobster serving was quite small for what was supposedly 4 oz. We tried splitting two lobster rolls and calamari among the 4 of us, but we were still hungry afterwards. The calamari came with a nice aioli sauce, and note that the lobster rolls come with fries. Credit cards are accepted. There are limited indoor tables as well as a heated back area with more tables. Metered street parking. There’s one gender neutral restroom by the entrance. Note there’s no National soda brands, but they do have their own in-house soda (which is between a Coke and Pepsi in terms of sweetness). They do serve alcohol. Overall, as a first-timer I can see the appeal of having a lobster roll by the water, but I would be prepared to open up your wallet for the meal.

Place was fantastic. I enjoyed the scallops immensely and my wife finished off a lobster and loved it. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a great meal. You can sit right on the waterfront looking out as you eat. What could be …

I do not know hours for each season. If you planning to go then better to ask them. There are many restaurants but this is only place reservation not require. Just go and order then wait for you foods ready.
