I have a car my Father sold me back in 2012. He last regsitered the car in 2010 in Maine. I have no documents on the car, as they were misplaced by him. He passed away in 2016. I am the trustee of the estate. How do i get a title copy?

I think you will need to get the state to send you a title for the car showing you own it. I would call the secretary of state and ask them how to do this. My guess is you will probably have to show you inherited the car, either with the will, or with some sort of documentation for how the estate was executed if there was no will.

I can't answer that unfortunately as I'm just a customer but I'm sure they can help you out at the counter... My advice is to get there as soon as or shortly after they open as to avoid waiting any longer than necessary.
