I have seen wild pigs but from quite a distance. They're very wary of us but you will see evidence of them everywhere.

Your chance of running into a wild boar at the Congaree National Park in the swamp is 5% they're mostly scared of you and if you stay on the trails and boardwalks your be safe one thing if you have emergency whistle that really blows out some high desk phone that will scare them off for sure any other questions just talk to a local park ranger at the Congaree National Park it's a really safe place and the trees are really old we lost some national champions trees that was older than any other trees in the United States when Hugo came through it's a shame when I was a leader and I got a pic of me and three boys standing in front of a pine tree in the pine tree was still bigger I hope this helped
