The train is only handicapped accesible by a portable rolling hand cranked elevator. They act put out because you delay them by using it. And you have to request it at booking. Aisles are narrow and good luck going to the lounge or dining car. Bathrooms are atrocious. Fly if you can, bus is better(built in motorized lifts actually designed for handicapped. Train is truckstop level at expensive prices. Do not recommend!
It just stopped said other train stations
Amtrak is ADA compliant and you only need to get off the train for a layover if you are changing trains. If the train is just stopping at a station, even for an extended stop, there is no reason to get off the train.
