Watch for algae

The beach open signs were up this morning. Though it looked like some algae was blowing in. Cohen Park is outside the bay so tends to stay cleaner. It is rocky so wear water shoes.

Last i knew it was fine. When its not they usually post signs saying not to swim down there. But being that they just had their fireworks on Saturday i probably wouldn't because you Never know what was left on thw beach area or in the water. One year after they had their bay day i went down to swim and cut my foot on broken glass likely left from someone at bay day. Theres another beach down the road from there that's usually cleaner. Its called Cohan park i believe. Its the same body of water but usually less traffic so its usually cleaner. If you follow the the road from the bay heading north (towards swanton ) itll be on your left . Or if you go to the end of lower newton and take a right youll see it on your left almost immediately
