Depending on which apples you're wanting, some are for cooking( green)and are typically earlier than the red ones. It's going to be fall late summer that apples are ready to be harvested(picked). Anderson Orchard is also a family farm and has alot of vegetables that are grown there on the farm too. They have festivals in the fall that are great for families with young kids and for those who want to pick apples.
Yes during late summer and fall is the best times. Some apples come earlier than others depends on what variety you like. Most orchards will store apple for you to buy through the winter months if they are open. Hope this helps
