My husband works there. The outpost is open unless the river is unsafe. They may not put people on if the river is really high and fast, or only let you do the upper section. If there's a bad storm or wind they won't send you out, but if you just want to go down in the rain and the river is safe they'll get you on. If you aren't sure, or have a big group, calling ahead is a good idea.
Better call first. If there is lightning in the area, you don't want to be on that river.
I believe they stay open, other outfitters do. You'd still be advised to plan ahead, and check the weather.
