The actual price of a 40 gallon water heater runs closer to $700 I don't know where that last guy shops at that I'd like to find out so I can buy better deals Home Depot $700 five-year year warranty if you remember to drain your water heater every year that's why they put the little garden hose adapter at the bottom of the water heater if you don't drain it every year you build up minerals the minerals will shorten the life considerably it's all written in the instruction manual of water heaters but nobody ever reads it best if you get a 5 year warranty and don't drain your water heater you'll be lucky to get 4 years out of it
