Exactly what he said. There was many dogs at this campsite, no issues as far as I know. Our friends brought their dog and it was fine, but it did restrict the activities they might have liked to do... Can't leave your dog in a tent for a few hours... With a camper - would be another story.

In VT state parks, dogs are allowed at camp sites but not in day use areas. Also they must be leashed and cannot be left alone. It's really unfortunate if you want to swim while camping.

Well yes, but actually no. There permitted pretty much only at your campsite. Which sucks if you want to go to the beach or any public area. I brought mine for a few hours when camping awhile back and ended up taking them home early.
