The signs that are posted on the building state the mat is open till 11pm and the last wash is at 1030. It is also stated that way on google and the website. My question is why did the lady attendant here just tell me that she closes at 10pm?

If it was during the storm that's why. If it was good weather they should stay open until the time that's posted but I suppose sometimes things can happen or if people can get lazy.
