You can go in to look for a stereo but they generally schedule appointments for install. I agree with Thomas regarding going to one of the shops in town. That's where I went for my truck.

You would be better off going to an actual car stereo shop. This particular store can't even manage to sell a working laptop, even though I tried 4 different models... ended getting a sweet deal on craigslist, a gamble sure however at the end of my 7 receipt pile it was starting to feel like losing at Best Buy
I would suggest calling Best Buy for the correct answer to that question.
I believe it's mostly by appointment though im sure they could do it same day if they have openenings. Call the store to verify though.
