I want to buy a gift card or similar for our family in another area of CA. Can I buy them on line? If so, can they still select their seats in advance or, must go to the theater in person? We have a new one near us in So CA and anxious to try it.

I'm in the Sacramento area & just purchased gift cards at SAMS Club, two $25.00 cards for $$39.99, they say eat, drink, movies.

They can use the gift card like a credit card and purchase/reserve their seats on line or in person. If they purchase tickets online they will get to pick their seats (unlike ticket master types that are more random). We are also in the Sacramento area and have given and received SMG gift cards offten.

I've only purchased gift cards in person. Online u can select seats and buy but need to use credit card to print tickets. I think u can use the confirmation number tho

You can redeem gift cards online at the Studio Movie Grill app. Not sure about buying them. I use them all the time (buy at Sam's Club, great deal). You just enter in the gift card number when done selecting seats

I get them through an app called Moviepass . You pay $9.99 a month for 1 free movie a day. Only for regular movies, not 3D. First run is good. Bought a few on line through Moviepass for this theater.
