Call around 3pm and let them know what time you’re planning on arriving, the number of people in the party and your name.

All depends on the season. During summer and winter I woukd call. Soring and Fall not so bad.

I would call ahead to give them notice. This way tgey can add you to any wait and start putting your table together.
