Trail Runnah
Great location for hiking. Trails are well marked, and there is plenty of parking and clean restrooms at the trailhead. We took the trail to the Franconia Flume, which was mostly a flat railbed, which was very easy. The trail to the Flume itself was a little under .5 miles from the railbed and a little more technical, but not bad at all. WARNING: There are signs warning against going in the falls. Be careful, we saw a guy purposely go in at one of the upper falls, and was unable to get out. A second guy fell in while trying to help him and also was unable to get out. With the aid of a tree branch, both guys were rescued. They both said they felt as if they were pulled under. If it had just been the 2 of them, they'd probably have both drowned.

Very easy trail, it's flat the majority of the walk. I love the suspension bridge that goes over the river, and after about 3 miles, you end up at Franconia Falls.

Beautiful stop along the highway. The hike was along the east branch of the Pemi and was very well traveled. In mid March all we needed were micro spikes due to how compacted the snow was. The hike has stunning views of the river and mountains. You get far enough away from the road to feel fully engulfed in nature.

Great place for winter hiking. No snow shoes required due to the heavy use the snow is packed down.

Yes the trail is flat
You're allowed to ride a bike up to the boundary of the wilderness, which is 2.9 miles one way. There is a sign at the boundary. It's old railroad bed that's flat and wide.
