Why do people respond without viable answers? Responses should be helpful and truths, not opinion or (bad) jokes.
As a server, we are not trained on gluten allergies. Some of us when asked make sure we go above and BEYOUND to know this when asked. We will go find the answer. We do carry a gluten free menu as well as a menu with ingredients and allergies. Just ask your host or server for the menu.
This is a great question but difficult to answer here because not everyone has a gluten intolerance and allergen issues, so it may be difficult to pinpoint that information just via local guides. If a guide doesn't have an allergy or potential food intolerance then they most likely wont ask any of the staff about it during their visit. This is an important question absolutely... But the medium of just local guides isnt the best place to get this answer if you think about it statistically. About 1% of the US population has Celiac disease. Others may be sensitive to it but can still tolerate it. That 1% gets to be an even smaller number as you progress down into states, counties, and cities. Now take that into an even smaller sample. Local guides. All of us might not even visit Smokey Bones. So the potential sample size for information grows smaller and smaller. We just dont have the data for it. It has to be between customer and staff at the time of ordering for that. Or you can call?
Sometimes it's on the menus, I don't remember if it was at smoky bones or not tho!
I do not know.
