Interesting.... Where are you getting this information from? There's nothing in it for the casino to do such a thing. I've always experience that the casino will cater and accommodate to their guests. Even a lost phone will be .... They will try to find its rightful owner. And trust me they know how to do it and can and will.
The casino holds all found items for 30 days to give an owner a chance to claim their property. The sale of found items held past 30 days are sold at less than flea market prices, and in as is condition with no guarantees.
Still doesn't answer question. One of their employees bought locked phones for her kids and now trying to unlock them. I would think important to find legal owner since locked.
I have left my phone on a machine went back and it was gone went to security and asked if they could help and they did. Every employee has to hold up there hands when they find anything and camera's follow them
