We were just there and had no mosquito or black fly. As always use permethrin on clothes and gear before hiking to protect you from tiicks to avoid lymes... It keeps away all bugs for up to 6 weeks or 6 washes. Have a great time... it is gorgeous out there 😁

Mosquitoes and deer flies and horse flies...oh my! Seriously, they are out there. Bug spray for sure, and with the humid/hot weather they'll be hungry...

my personal one is, if you're hiking in the woods, wear pants. camping...bug spray or citronella should be helpful. they are very bad in the woods. The lightning bugs are amazing, though
