Not when there are bacteria in the water they put a warning notice
There is a stream on the east side that connect the wetlands to the sound. When it rains a lot the runoff causes the bacteria in the swimming area to get above what they like. Therefore sometimes they close the beach for swimming but usually only for a few days. Doesn't happen often but if traveling far you should check hotline.
