I have reserved mine this Aug 2019. What time can I check in and setup my camp sites? If we have 2 campsites with families that come along, would one burning permit be enough? Thanks.

Not sure what time, but for the fire permit its free and takes less than five minutes online and is good for a year. http://www.preventwildfireca.org/Campfire-Permit/

Check in is at 2, and if your whole group is going to gather around 1 fire, a second permit wouldn't be needed.
