The poppies and wild flowers are easy to see, even from your car. The first water fall is easy to get to too. The furthest out water fall is about 2.6 miles, up and down and on some uneven trails with rocks. You should wear hiking shoes if you go past the first waterfall.
It isn't so much hard as tricky I would say. There are some narrow rocky areas that prove to be a challenge more mentally for me than physically and I consider myself still a new hiker. I do wear my hiking boots here yo ensure a good footing but they are not necessary, a good pair of tennis shoes would work fine. There is little to no shade here so if it is sunny be prepared.
