The hotel & grounds are safe but the surrounding area is a little sketchy.

Very nice but next to no trailer parking for boats . The best place to launch is at lakeport marina.
I have been staying here all week and I've had no issues so far. The resort is gated at the back and open to traffic toward the highway 20. There's a pool kiddie pool large hot tub arcade and plenty of room outside for kids to play. If you don't want to pay for wi-fi they have 2 computers you can use for doing business and a printer just in case you need to print.
First it's not just a hotel it is a time share resort. The rooms go from a studio to a 3 bedroom. All the rooms are fully equipped with kitchen bathroom and beds. The house keepers do there jobs very well. Although YES IT IS A SAFE PLACE FOR FAMILY'S do lock your vehicle because the property has been known to have little hoodlums steal things out of cars and boats.
There is a nice playground, pool, the area to road is mostly fenced (except the entry). Access to the lake is fenced and gated, facilities are roomy and homie.
Yes, very family friendly my kids hang at the pool and arcade. We also check out the animals at the farm across the street
