The Yuba river does have swimming holes that you can jump into off of rocks but...... you must make sure it's deep enough and no boulders under water that you may hit. You may have gone to the American river before when you jumped off rocks. It does have a lot of deeper swimming holes with rocks to jump from. You can access the North Fork of the American River at Twin Bridges on Highway 49 headed towards Coloma, park at the bottom of the canyon at the bridge Upstream of the highway 49 Crossing. That would be the Old Forest Hill Road and Hike Upstream and you'll find wonderful swimming holes and you can jump from rocks there. Whichever spot you choose please be cautious as this activity is potentially very dangerous as I'm sure you are aware.

Yes but only in a select few places. Be careful.

There will be some spots to jump... just look for the deeper holes... be careful... the water should be clear enough to see boulders underneath
