Does anyone know what happened to this place? Did they shut down or did they relocate somewhere else?

It's now across the street from the original location

Golden Palace is moving to 207 union Ave, Providence. It will be reopened in the middle of February.

They shut down. The new location they had moved to already knocked out the inside of the building.
