A tent sight may be cheaper but they may not have electricity. Water spigots are spread around. RV sites all have electric.
An if u want an electrical site you'll have to reserve 6 months in advance.
I've camps there about 15 times. If you're in a band all you need a place to park in the back down by the river which is very cool place they have first come first serve no reservation but in the winter time they closed half of the campground down, they don't even have anybody at the gate but you can still make a reservation I looked the other day, this Campground is a great place to Camp you're close to town you got all kinds of waterfalls in the area things to do hiking trails and most of the first come first served sites you can put a RV on there I have or you can sleep in your van no problem or bring a tent bring a canopy to they let you even string up a tarp if you want to bring one of those
All tent sites you park at your site. They're all nice. Most all don't have electricity. Often full sometimes best availability is weekdays. Great campground. I camp there twice during the summer each year.
Tent site will be just fine for that
You probably won't be able to book a site with electric if you are coming soon unless there is a cancellation. However, There are several sites with electric hookups that are first-come-first-served and not reservable. You may not need hookups anyway so you could possibly reserve a site without hookups, especially if you are coming on weekdays and not a weekend. I think that there are some sites that for for tents only and you should probably avoid those. It usually means you have to walk to your tent site and leave your car parked close to the road. That's fine if you have a tent but no fun if you are camping in your vehicle and wind up sleeping right on the road. I book our camping trips months in advance because we have to camp on weekends. Occasionally, we want to camp on short notice. A couple of times I have been really lucky and was able to find a great site that someone had just cancelled. You need to check recreation.gov often to find those happy accidents.
