You're going to need an appointment, first of all. Then, you'll need to take the full written test (35 questions; fee=$5). If you pass (with 28 questions answered correctly), you MAY need to take a driving test (just based upon the amount of time your license has been expired), but you may not. If not, just have proof of residency and identity and they take your picture and give you a temp license.
Stop by and make an appointment. You will get it a lot faster.
You will also have to take ID with you like a birth certificate. Go prepared to take a behind the wheel driving test. A lot of driving laws have changed in the last five years. I know if you have a library card for Springfield Public Library under databases there are several different written driving tests available.
