As pet, technically no, but you likely won't get into any trouble. You should leave him/her in the basket. If it's a service animal then they will gladly accept him/her on a leash.
Personally, as much as I love my fur babies, when I go shopping I leave them home. Service animals are always ok but if you are shopping for food I would think about how sanitary that would appear to the other shoppers. If in doubt call the store.
They have a policy that says you cannot have the animal in the basket, for health code reasons. Few exceptions may apply.... though they might not care either way. It has to be on a leash
No only service dogs. That does not include emotional or companion service dogs
Leave them at home. Avoid any possible embarrassment
