You need to deal with them in person. I'm sure they will be flexible and offer you solutions that won't make it necessary to drive there too often. You should be there at least once though if only for the beautiful experience.
I could only say to you is that get a one way airplane ticket to Columbus then get it a one way back to your place that's the best solution that I can possibly think of for you. Best of luck to ya guy
