There are no camping areas within 35 or so minutes from the zoo. Dash Point is probably the closest. A good 30 miles away.

The closest I can think of is off Dash Point in Federal Way. Like Browns Point I think. I don't camp in the area though. Sorry.

No overnight campgrounds nearby. Gig Harbor, across the Narrows Bridge, has some. About 20 minutes, with tolls, away by car or truck. Not walking distance by any means.
