In california it is illegal. When you DONATE you earn points that you can trade in for items such as shirts, tickets, roads, Amazon cards, and many other things on their website. Bottom line, is that in California you can not profit from the the trade of human organs-- including blood products.

Blood centers might not pay for blood, but many do pay for plasma. I'm not answering for this particular place, I don't know. However, when you search for places to donate plasma in California for money (at least near me) , this place is one of the first that comes up.
We do not pay. We will have to track down where it says we pay. That is not true. Blood donations go to patients in hospitals and we rely strictly on a volunteer donor base.
Illegal how so? Cause in Sacramento they pay you and also Texas they pay more plus bonuses and give aways....
Vitalant consolidated blood donation centers from Washington to California, in some states like Oregon, they can pay you for blood components, however in California, they cannot, so it sounds like their websites information doesn't differentiate between different states based on their laws.
