What is this too like in early March? I'd like to take my child but if it's too cold for the animals to want to come out I don't know if it will be worth it.

There are still plenty of animals to see and it's a lot less crowded! I love going off season or on rainy days.

Well it's going to be an up-and-down thing meaning yes it's going to be cold and you might not see that many animals but they do come out anyways the zoo is always a better place in the spring and summer but if you want to go and try the winter experience you can this plan a nice trip for some warm hot chocolate afterwards
