I am from Virginia and want to kayak the Susquehanna river. Where do I put the kayak in the river? And where can I purchase a fishing license and what is the cost?

You will need a registration or a permit to put in at state ramps. Permits available at https://www.pa.wildlifelicense.com/ALS/launchCtrl.php Fishing license can be obtained at the above site. Cost varies, and would be higher for non residents...see theprices on that site. Places to put in are many consult a map.....watch for wing dams and low headdams, again consult maps for the hazards where you will be paddling..... Enjoy!

Yes can kayak anywhere on the river as long as your kayak has a launching permit and you can buy your license from Walmart or pa fish commission web site, must have a printer. The cost will be on there website.
