The more you play the better the earned money that you can apply to food. Or play on Tuesdays and Fridays and earn a $3 off 1 eatery. 350 pts earns you $1. On your birthday you get $5 free to play. AND during your bday day week earn double pts plus get 1,000 extra pts the day of your bday. It adds up! So yes, you can earn food money, but the money can be played too.

No discount, but the more you spend using your member card you do get money off any eatery and free game play
