Yes, it is connected to the famous San Diego Zoo. In fact, the Safari Park originally wasn't open to the public, but was just used for breeding, extra space, etc for the zoo. You can get discounted passes to attend both the zoo and Safari Park if you want to explore each on different days.
Absolutely! This is a rescue and presereve. Running free. Kept safe from public. Help the breeding from the hippo decline. It's all put back into the park. The employees. Are mostly volunteer. Depending on the jobs. They do it. To help because of ther love of the animals. They do it to save their lives.!!!
