You are wrong about that. People have lost interest in action movies, comic book movies and children's movies in 3d. Cinemark has done a great disservice to the area. Families can no longer afford to see a movie together. My daughter and I saw many movies at Carriage Place. I don't see that happening much anymore. But this is not all about increasing ticket prices. Cinemark will make much more when they add alcohol and food sales. Neither of these appeal to the numerous young people that patronized the theater. There is a market in Columbus for a discount cinema. Perhaps someone else will step in.
Actually carriage place is undergoing renovation. The theaters are being done in sections. The real3d projector is in the section being currently redone.
Public interest in 3d has dropped. Especially at discount theaters.
