Why is the a $5.00 fee to hear a band when you are paying for drinks and food? Doesnt seem right. Can someone explain why please?

IMO, most restaurants don't have live bands so at SGJJ they tack on $5 to help pay the band. It's not a lot when you consider the price of concert tickets these days. Some of the ban'ds aren't stellar but they do entertain...

It's an entertainment fee. I've found that must restaurants who feature live bands do this because most patrons don't tip the band which makes it harder to get more desired acts to perform.

If you get to hear the band, it's worth it at times! As for a few times when my family went, band was playing when we went in and by the time we were seated, band took a break! So we only heard about a song and a half, if that!!! Food and service is great and plentiful, though!!!
