Because it's a dirt track and just because it rains doesn't mean it will be cancelled. It all depends on turnout and how the track takes to the rain. I was just there last weekend and it stormed for an hour straight and they had trucks and tractors running around on the track for a good two hours trying to get it dried out enough to race on and as quickly as it got dryer and stickier they started the races and went to well past midnight there was also a good bit of wrecks which makes it more exiting
