Your going to need a reliable bike. I just turned 13 and I am racing a 2011 Kx250F. I think its by far one of if not the most reliable bike out there. Your also going to need proper gear : Boots, Pants, Jersey, Chest Protector, Neck Brace, Helmet, Clear Goggles, Gloves. When you go out to race, in your truck or trailer your going to need to bring : Pop up tents, Dirt Bike stands, 2 Gas cans. some things that are not necessary but good to have are : oil ( enough to fill you bike ), extra grips, brake line, clutch line, brake fluid, front and back tire, oil filter, air filter. You should always have the right tools to be able to partially take your bike apart for minor repairs if needed. And again those are just some things i would bring if i was going any farther than 30 minutes away from my house to race. Also make sure you have the proper chloe's with you. And you will always have to have all of the gear i listed above to get in to any race.
