Back in the late 50s early 60s you could. The lake was owned by my good friend Johnny Mateo. Everyone went there to swim, lay on the sandy beach, rent a tow boat and fish and have the best homemade fresh French fries in the world. Great memories!

We used to go there in the 70"s when it was like going to the beach.. me and my bff and my Gma and my Mom. We loved the the F F (with the skin on ) in a cone cup w/ Salt & Vinegar... My Uncle by marriage came up with a great idea that made him a millionaire and he purchased the Lake and he and his new wife turned it into this 5 star venue that i've read many folks that wed there and guests of Wedding parties say its the most beautiful place they've ever seen!! Awsome! Im glad it was Darlihgton Lake in the day.. remember the slides? There was like a bigone but then there was thst he huge high up one...Alot of Good times took place there . And great family memories .. Now... Its something totally different!. My Uncle was always a good man.. very smart... I might ask j himi if I maybe can crash at his B& B ... Just kidding! Good on him!
