If they offer that option they should definitely follow through but in a busy coffee stand probably not the greatest idea to expect them to screen someone to know if they're the right person they're supposed to give the item to probably a better idea to buy a gift card for your friend that way there won't be any confusion not that you should have to just to make the situation better in the future
