Yes that's true
My 4 year old son and I can easily spend hours there. He absolutely loves it. There's interactive stuff that they can do. There's model train layouts, lego trains that they can build and they can even control a larger model train.
If they have a interest in trains they would. There is a small kids area but there are so many big trains that are just cool to see. Even with a 5 year old's attention span, you could easily spend 1.5 to 2 hrs here.
