I was there at the end of May and people had their dogs. They just can't go inside
I was just there in August 2019. Dogs on leash are allowed outside as long as they are well behaved and not harrassing the livestock and birds. Chickens, turkeys and pea fowl are loose and wander the grounds.
Yeah there is plenty of open space and picnic tables outside with the petting zoo. Very pet friendly
