if somebody wants to come in and belay someone but does’t want to climb, would they have to pay anyway?

Hi Ivy, thank you so much for your inquiry. You do not need to pay to belay in the gym. You will need to fill out a Participant Areement and if you are not belay-certified, you will need to take a belay test at The Cliffs. If you do decide to climb at any point after, we ask that come up to the desk to pay.

I'm not sure but you could call and ask! They're very friendly. You would need to pass their belay test though.
