Will be visiting soon. Is there a cost to walk on the beach? How far can you go in each direction? Where is the best place to park & how much does it cost? Will be in NJ for an event & thought I'd visit the shore since it's so close. Any advice?

Recently visited the Point Pleasant Beach. 1) The city is under a major renovation to develop a municipal parking lot. It is directly across Jenkinson's. I was there in late April and I am sure they are trying to complete it before Memorial Day. If they do you will have a very large city lot with meters which, will compete with private lots. It may cost $0,75-$1 an hour. 2) There is a beach fee. Not sure how much since, I am not a beach person. 3) The beach is beautiful and clean and you can walk for miles on the beach. The boardwalk is a nice size for an early morning run or walk. I would recommend calling the city or visiting their website for an update on the construction site and beach opening. You will enjoy this town.

It's a small boardwalk..I think there is a fee to get on the beach after Memorial Day..Parking fees are now, I was just there, pull into a lot for like $10...there are other boardwalks and towns

No charge for going on broadwalk (2 MILES) cost is depending on the week your coming (this week no charge for being on beachfront)

Pretty sure there is no charge until after Memorial day and maybe into June. You can walk a few miles from the Manasquan Inlet South to Bay Head. Parking in Jenkinsons lots would probably be free during the week until summer. I would try to park close to the boardwalk in their lot next to the Aquarium or Ride Park. When they do charge for parking it's not too bad unless it is a busy weekend like Memorial Day. The side streets like Central, Parkway etc. Are free to park. They charge now for the main streets like Arnold and Ocean Aves.

Depends what part of the shore. Point pleasant is great, nice boardwalk,. This time of year better on weekends

Well i do know like Jersey beach you have pay to get on the beach in less it's the off season. Can anyone else her with the rest

Most NJ beaches require beach tags to be on the beach between Memorial Day & Labor Day. It didn't cost anything to walk on the beach in April, just not allowed in the water. Not sure how far you can go in either direction. Parking was $10 when I last went. Tends to go up when busy.
