I have mice for a mouse that is outsmarting me I cannot catch him or do you suggest?

Try the humane traps. Release it in the woods. If that doesn't work, then, yes, use the spring trap with peanut butter or moist dog food.

Have you tried glue boards? We also have a repellent called Mouse Magic that works pretty well.
