Grassy/off trail areas are off limit - one should stay off to avoid ticks and to preserve flora and fauna
So far I've never seen any patches of grass suitable for a picnic, its tall wild grass for bees and small wildlife. Best to use the tables and chairs provided in the park.
Yes, there is. I recommend the tables instead though.
Plenty and I mean plenty of space. Also chairs and tables. No BBQ or dog walking tho. If you do decide to picnic be aware that I didn't see many shady areas so bring something to block the sun.
