Is there a lot of deer still there?

I don't think we saw any in the two days that we were hiking.

I was on the other side of Turkey Creek lake and seen 7 the first time there and hadn't made it to the woods

I hike in Shawnee Forest (not Shawnee State Park) and I'm alone and quiet. I see very few deer. In a 20 mile hike, I have about zero % chance of seeing a deer but more likely to see a hunter...and they ask, "Where are the deer"?

Quite frequently you'll come across deer at dawn. Especially in thick fog.
